Biography:

Michiel Van Meervenne

Grew up on a chicken farm. Became vegetarian on a plane to Argentina (switched back to flexitarian for my grandma’s vol-au-vent). Worked 5 years as an agriculture and food journalist at VILT. Created KRIKET – Belgium’s first cricket bar – in 2017. On a mission to promote insects for human consumption to celebrate the diversity of life in our edible landscape.

After several marketing and sales experiences in FMCG companies, and 7 years of marketing strategy at Colruyt Group, I enjoy today a challenging assignment combining the marketing of the corporate brand Colruyt Group, and the group's Private Label marketing management. I have the chance to lead and work together with a great team of marketing & creative professionals, doing a great job on all these brands, and working "step by step" for a sustainable business whilst respecting people and planet. #Colruytgroupie
