Biography

Ajaz Ahmed is CEO of AKQA, the ideas and innovation company he founded aged 21. Today, AKQA is one of the world’s most awarded agencies and a recognised leading global workplace. AKQA employs over 6,000 people across 50 studios and subsidiaries. In 2021, he launched the ajaz.org fellowship, which provides grants to charities and is the winner of the Spear’s Impact Award 2022. Ajaz is the author of four books including the best-seller Velocity. In addition to his responsibilities as CEO of AKQA, Ajaz is a Trustee on the charitable boards of Mission 44 (founded by Sir Lewis Hamilton), Elton John AIDS Foundation and Virgin Unite founded by Sir Richard Branson and Jean Oelwang.
