The fourth edition of the Notenkrakken campaign, organised by cooperative Cera, has started again. This unique initiative invites everyone to collect and hand in walnuts from 7 October to 11 November at more than 100 social workshops and community points across Belgium. The collected nuts are then selected and cracked by people with disabilities, after which they are processed into nut oil and other products. The proceeds are invested in the operation of the social workshops, creating meaningful work and additional income.

The Nut Cracking Campaign began in 2021 as a local experiment, but has grown into a national success story. Thanks to the efforts of thousands of volunteers, the campaign has become a symbol of inclusion, connection and caring neighbourhoods. This year, we aim to collect another record number of nuts and involve even more people in this beautiful campaign.

Everyone can participate: order a free nut pack via the website and bring the collected nuts to one of the many collection points in your neighbourhood. This way, you contribute to an initiative that is not only ecologically, but also socially important. Together, we turn the walnut into a valuable product that does not go to waste and at the same time offers meaningful work to people who need it most.
