Sustainability in the food supply chain – Against all odds.

Summary

Coffee at breakfast. Chocolate as a treat. We take them for granted. But what if—in just 10 years—they’re no longer there? Climate change, war, shifting power relations, and broken trade systems are already threatening the very products we love most.

In this keynote, Marion Meyvis of Oxfam Fair Trade takes us inside the hidden reality of coffee and cocoa supply chains. She’ll share vivid stories from farmers and producers, showing what sustainability really means—not the glossy version on corporate reports, but the tough, hands-on work of building fair, resilient, and future-proof trade. Can we design supply chains that respect both people and planet, against all odds? And are we ready to act now, together with producers, to secure the future of our food?
